"treat others the way you want to be treated."

Currently, I have the privilege to work with some of the finest software engineers, product managers, data analysts, and clinical researchers at CompoundLive and Rugiet Health. As the sole UX/UI Researcher and Designer, I've established and encouraged teammates to adopt and embrace the UX design process and double diamond model. I recently received recognition for my 2023 annual performance review for delivering significant impact to our overall business goals and team morale.
Previously, I taught at General Assembly and nurtured several brilliant minds to adopt UX design principles for almost two years as a Sr. UX/UI Instructional Associate. I've worked on side projects with fellow UX designers, software engineers, and data scientists. My sales and customer service background has been incredibly valuable when communicating and collaborating with other teams. The key to winning trust is asking great questions, active intentional listening, and speaking with inclusive language like "we, us, let's do this" while also having fun. Learning to laugh at myself has kept me humble and approachable. Whatever team I'm on, teammates can have peace of mind knowing I'm in the trenches with them and always available to them even after the completion of the project on hand.

My favorite part of the UX Design Process
is that I don't have to know all the answers.
It's an open-book exam. As long as I ask the right questions, I can find the right answers. When new data is found, the end service or product evolves. It constantly improves like a living breathing organism. It's alive.

A great UX designer strives to equally wear all six thinking hats for decision making, a perspective technique created by Edward de Bono. The red hat is why I always put people first in my decision-making, whether for the team, client, or users.

What makes me tick?

A former life in sales
15+ years of learning the art of selling were the baby steps to set me on the path of personal development and networking. Everything is sales, people just don't realize it.
Seeing from all angles
Photography became my creative outlet and ticket to backstage access to the world. Something about sharing moments with people and telling their stories is rewarding.
